तृतीय श्रेणी शिक्षकों के प्रथम और सैकंड लेवल के लिए परीक्षा 2 जून, 2012 को आयोजित की गई थी। सैकंड लेवल में विशेष शिक्षकों सहित करीब 30 हजार पदों के लिए हुई परीक्षा में 2,16,723 अभ्यर्थियों ने भाग लिया, जो कुल आवेदकों का 41.85 % है। इसमें Science-math, सामान्य अध्ययन, Hindi, English, संस्कृत, उर्दू, पंजाबी, सिंधी और हिंदी-अंग्रेजी विषय शामिल हैं।
